These Custom Order & Sales Terms apply to custom and personalized products purchased from Jin Chao Canada International Inc. under the Sixth Line Studio brand.
They should be read together with the applicable product information, written quote, approved proof, invoice, order confirmation, Privacy Policy, and any other written terms provided for an order.
If a written quote or invoice contains order-specific terms that differ from these general terms, the order-specific terms will apply to that order to the extent of the inconsistency, subject to applicable law.
1. Quotes and Order Acceptance
A website inquiry does not create an order or require either party to proceed.
A custom order becomes accepted when:
- the project details and price have been confirmed;
- the customer accepts the applicable quote, invoice, or checkout information;
- the required payment or deposit has been received; and
- Sixth Line Studio confirms acceptance of the order.
Quotes are valid for the period stated in the quote. If no period is stated, the quote may be revised before acceptance due to changes in materials, quantities, specifications, availability, taxes, delivery costs, or other project requirements.
Prices are stated in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated. Applicable taxes and delivery charges will be identified before the order is finalized.
2. Small Orders and Volume Orders
Orders of fewer than five items may be offered through online checkout, a Square payment link, or a Square invoice and are generally payable in full before design or production begins.
Orders of five or more may qualify for volume pricing. Volume pricing is not automatic or identical for every product and will be confirmed through a written quote.
Quoted volume orders may be paid by Interac e-Transfer or another payment method approved by Sixth Line Studio.
3. Deposits and Final Payment
A 50% deposit is generally required to begin a quoted volume custom order.
The remaining balance is due after final design approval and before production begins, unless the written quote or invoice states otherwise.
Sixth Line Studio may require full advance payment for:
- small orders;
- rush orders;
- special-order materials;
- third-party purchasing;
- unusually personalized products;
- orders involving significant upfront cost; or
- other circumstances stated in the quote.
Production and delivery dates are not secured until all required approvals and payments have been received.
4. Design Proofs and Customer Approval
Where a design proof is provided, the customer must carefully review:
- names and spelling;
- dates;
- numbers;
- quantities;
- dimensions and sizes;
- colours;
- layout;
- logos and artwork;
- product selection; and
- all other personalization details.
Written approval by email, form, invoice system, or other recorded electronic communication constitutes approval for production.
Once the customer approves the proof, Sixth Line Studio may rely on that approval.
Sixth Line Studio is responsible for correcting a production error that does not match the approved proof.
Sixth Line Studio is not responsible for errors that were:
- present in the customer-approved proof;
- included in information supplied by the customer; or
- not identified before approval.
A reproduction requested because of a customer-supplied or customer-approved error may require additional payment.
Screen displays and digital proofs are approximations. Reasonable variations in colour, placement, texture, dimensions, grain, finish, and appearance may occur because of screen settings, materials, production processes, and the nature of customized products.
5. Customer-Supplied Logos and Artwork
The customer confirms that they own or have authorization to use submitted logos, names, photographs, artwork, trademarks, and other materials.
The customer is responsible for obtaining permissions from teams, schools, businesses, organizations, photographers, parents, guardians, and rights holders where applicable.
Sixth Line Studio may request evidence of authorization and may refuse to reproduce material that appears infringing, unlawful, misleading, hateful, unsafe, or inappropriate.
6. Changes and Cancellations
Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order.
Before design work begins, an eligible cancellation may receive a refund of amounts paid, less any non-refundable payment-processing fees or costs already incurred, where permitted by law.
After design work, special purchasing, or material preparation begins, Sixth Line Studio may deduct the reasonable value of completed work and non-recoverable costs from any approved refund.
After the final proof has been approved, materials have been ordered specifically for the project, or production has begun, the custom order normally cannot be cancelled.
Any change requested after approval may:
- require a revised quote;
- require an additional design or production fee;
- delay completion; or
- be impossible after production begins.
If Sixth Line Studio cannot complete an accepted order, the customer will be notified and will receive an appropriate refund for the unfulfilled portion.
Nothing in this section limits cancellation or refund rights that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Custom Products, Returns, and Exchanges
Because custom and personalized products are created for a particular customer and usually cannot be resold, completed custom products are final sale.
We do not accept returns or exchanges because of:
- a change of mind;
- an incorrect size, colour, spelling, date, number, quantity, or other detail approved by the customer;
- customer-supplied incorrect information;
- reasonable differences between screen appearance and the finished material; or
- normal and disclosed material or production variations.
This final-sale policy does not apply where a product:
- contains a production error made by Sixth Line Studio;
- differs materially from the approved proof or confirmed order;
- arrives damaged;
- has a material production defect; or
- is otherwise subject to a remedy required by applicable law.
8. Reporting an Order Problem
Please inspect the order promptly after receipt.
If an item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from the approved design, contact:
within seven calendar days after receiving the order.
Include:
- the customer’s name;
- order or invoice number;
- a description of the issue; and
- clear photographs showing the product, packaging, and concern.
Do not discard the product or packaging before the claim is reviewed.
Failure to report within seven days may affect our ability to investigate carrier damage or production issues, but it does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Remedies
After reviewing a valid order concern, Sixth Line Studio may provide an appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances, including:
- correction;
- repair;
- reproduction or replacement;
- partial refund;
- full refund for the affected item; or
- another remedy required by applicable law.
Sixth Line Studio may request return of the affected product when reasonable and will provide instructions where a return is required.
A replacement will normally reproduce the approved order specifications. A request to change the approved design during replacement may result in additional charges.
10. Production and Timing
Production estimates begin only after all required information, approvals, and payments have been received.
Estimated completion and delivery dates are not guarantees unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Delays may result from:
- delayed customer responses or approvals;
- requested changes;
- material availability;
- supplier or carrier delays;
- weather;
- equipment interruption;
- force majeure events; or
- circumstances reasonably outside Sixth Line Studio’s control.
If a deadline is important, the customer must disclose it before accepting the quote. Sixth Line Studio will not accept a rush deadline unless it is expressly confirmed in writing.
11. Pickup, Delivery, and Shipping
Available pickup, local delivery, and shipping options will be confirmed before purchase or in the applicable quote or invoice.
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for promptly correcting errors before dispatch.
Shipping and delivery estimates may be affected by carriers and other circumstances outside Sixth Line Studio’s control.
Responsibility for lost, delayed, or damaged shipments will be assessed based on the shipping method, tracking, insurance, applicable law, and the circumstances of the order.
12. Product Use and Care
Customers must follow any care, installation, age, or product-use instructions provided with the product.
Decorative products are not toys unless specifically identified as toys.
Products containing small parts, magnets, cords, clips, hardware, or breakable materials should be kept away from young children unless appropriate adult supervision is provided.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sixth Line Studio’s liability for a product-related claim will not exceed the amount paid for the affected product or order portion.
Sixth Line Studio will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from an order delay, customer-supplied content, misuse, improper installation, failure to follow care instructions, or a customer-approved error.
This section does not exclude liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights or remedies under applicable law.
